Summary of our upshots
BOS Deville
When it comes to the mere performance, then was the second fork, the Sports Nut us sent after the failure of the first , has the best enduro fork in the test. Perfectly tuned, ultra-sensitive and high here in the suspension travel. Other forks are however cheaper, slightly lighter and more user friendly. Is also expected that average Joe bikers probably miss some comfort. If a BOS Deville At length itself, should not only know how to use their settings, but also have the necessary driving skills to exploit their advantages can. The Deville is aimed no doubt at racers or those who like to let it run properly.

# 1  BOS Deville -  2,115 grams, 1,129 €, High-and low-speed compression, rebound, adjustable chamber volume (only for TRC model)

Formula ThirtyFive
It seems as if the ThirtyFive been infused into their Italian homeland great temperament - no fork in the test showed so idiosyncratic as the pretty Italian. In direct comparison to other forks it required a much more extensive adjustment effort until we had personally favored SetUp found. If this time does not take itself runs the risk of feeling the ThirtyFive in "normal" conditions quickly as uncomfortable. If the ideal setup is found, the formula works very well and at a sensational weight. Only the operation, especially the quick-release axle, disappointed.

# 2  Formula ThirtyFive -  1,812 grams, 999 euros,  twice the factory service free of charge

Fox 34 Talas FIT Kashima Factory CTD
The faster and harder the trail, the stronger was the Fox after. In particular, the Highspeedzugstufe can not keep up very well with fast percussion sequences, which not only leads to traction problems, but the fork also prevents you to recover quickly from shocks. Who but on trails à la German low mountain range on the go (not particularly rough, a few hard-intensive beats and limited technical), is the Fox faithful and comfortable above all and find easily adaptable companion - provided you take care of sufficiently good the care and service of the fork.

# 3  Fox 34 Talas FIT Kashima Factory CTD - 2.110 grams,  1.379 EUR,  low-speed compression adjustable to the respective trail conditions over three positions

Manitou Mattoc Pro
The comeback of Manitou in the enduro sector like. The fork is light, versatile adjustable, offers a surprisingly good performance and is one thing above all - really cheap. While others use their forks travel more efficiently, but can shine the Mattoc by their ability to follow the trail surface almost perfectly, which leads to superior traction. At a price of only 650 € can be overlooked with a clear conscience about niceties such as not particularly intuitive to use thru axle. In terms of value for the Mattoc Pro in this test field is unchallenged.

# 4 Manitou Mattoc Pro -  1,899 grams, 650 euros, hydraulic buttom Out, High-and low-speed compression, rebound

Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
Easy, straightforward and a very good performance - the Pike can really excite everyone. While Pike is inferior to the competitors of BOS and Manitou in traction, but can she make up for it by its other attributes. Not only that, the fork is highly regarded travel and to use these very effectively know also allows the fork easy and understandable for everyone individually to all preferences. Rock Shox has succeeded with the Pike to bring a fork on the market that can inspire both beginners and specialists.

# 5  Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air -  1,881 grams, 907 euros, rebound, low speed compression, 3-stage pressure stage (Open, pedal & lock) and air pressure

SR Suntour Auron RC2
SR Suntour has the Auron cheap fork with a quite decent weight in the program. The current street price of Auron RC2 amounts to 499 euros - a fair price for beginners and advanced users who are looking for a budget a good enduro fork. Unfortunately, there are at Auron serious weaknesses in the rebound to complain: here is no longer the fork on the state of the art, which makes them less interesting for speedy up fast drivers. There are now forks at the same price that perform much better job. Who is not so bad on the road, no emphasis on high speed and delights in an inexpensive fork with many configuration options, but which is found with a good Auron and especially favorable partner.

# 6  Suntour Auron RC2 -  1,990 grams, 699 euro, low-and high-speed compression, air chamber volume (progression), rebound and air pressure

X-Fusion sweep RL
The X-Fusion could not keep up with the strong competition in terms of driving performance. In contrast, the MSRP is well below that of competitors - just as well as the weight. With 1,810 grams of the X-Fusion is the lightest fork in the test. However, When it comes to use in harmless terrain, the sweep can provide a quite good performance. Especially people who want to spend neither much nor demand due to their area of application for a "high performance" fork are likely to find with the X-Fusion a good, light and especially favorable companion.

The overall result
In the first article of our enduro fork test series we elucidated as to what requirements was based on our review. In addition, we found out that there was no intention to choose a winner. Although subject to functions such as attenuation, response and spring characteristics physical laws and should therefore also be measured and evaluated, but there may be differences of functions in practical use for a driver supportive, its not for another disadvantage. We were, therefore, set out to describe the function of each fork as clearly as possible and to show their advantages and disadvantages based on various driver types. Ultimately, however, have been brought to light, which is why we like to give advice in these areas, which should help you buy decisions in three areas clear favorites.

Different riders prefer different forks - that's nothing new. However, our review showed that some forks have a non-date technology which, although is many a driver type nor fair, the competition is nevertheless strongly inferior. In the end, it is particularly important that one undergoes as a customer a realistic self-assessment: What I'm going where I'm going and above all: how I drive? The acclaimed us enduro forks meet all the requirements of a product group, which can be described in our view as follows:

An enduro bike is designed to handle a mostly self-generated by the driver exit off the beaten track as quickly as possible. Here, the driver gets in a particularly preferred challenging terrain and vilifies also runs not where other mostly a DH bike would rather be under the butt. Although individual sections of the runs are not less demanding than pure, developed DH lines, preferably the Enduro Pilot a less hubstarkes bike since it refers to much longer runs is usually on the go and generally long distances lays back, which he reached his targeted departures - this just heard the climbs on its own.

Height:  1.90 m
Weight:  87 kg
Driving style: "The driver is constantly striving to create a clean and gentle way to driving style of the day."
Fork Set Up Preferences: Likes his air forks like very progressive (small air chamber), rather something soft for fine response, but with this much pressure level for good feedback from the ground. To this end, a quick rebound for faster regeneration of the fork of punches.
Jens goes mainly ... on single trails of all kinds as well as bike parks and on his jump-heavy local spot.
Ranking and rating:

1 BOS Deville
2 Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
3 Fox 34 Talas FIT Kashima Factory CTD (subject to change)
Currently, the BOS Deville is still running in a long-term test and has not small added as the first version that we had in this finale. Nevertheless, the defect spoils the overall impression of the fork and I have long wondered who I would assign the first place of the forks tested. In the end, for me personally, the BOS is the ideal fork in the 160-mm-sector. It impresses with extremely good damping properties and provides, even in an enduro bike in terrain where you almost prefer to be out with a downhill bike, enormous security. Because it is so high in the travel and provides a fast, controlled recovery of Hard Knocks episodes, the steering angle remains flat and you can even choose the coarsest lines, without coming out of your comfort zone.

The Pike bribed by a rock solid tuning. Although she can not quite as simple as the BOS be matched from the outside on the wide range and is not quite as race-heavy, but already an additional Volumenspacer in the air chamber brings heavy drivers or generally in heavy terrain, a massive improvement on the characteristic. In addition, the Pike was pretty unimpressed even after several mud packs and continued to speak well of. Who does not want to take a closer look with cushioning and setup takes place in the Pike an easy-fork, which is easily adjustable and very noticeable and good spring and dampening characteristics.

3rd place is hard to define, as I unfortunately could not be there during the posttest Mattoc and for me personally the gap in the performance of place 2 to 3 is quite large. I had to decide between the remaining forks, it would probably be a Fox 34. Although my basic setup like not complete and especially the weakness in the rebound (lack of recovery from fast shock episodes without getting nervous) brought me in some passages faster out of my comfort zone with Deville and Pike. The outlook for the newly introduced "Custom Tuning" and the experience I already with this system could do with the RAD 34 would entice me at a 34 to be retrofitted this feature.

BOS
# 11  Two tester, a driving style: Jens' and Maxis driving style are very similar, thus can be explained in the chassis also same preferences. Both testers are deep and centrally on the bike.

Markus
Profile:  Enduro Trail Focus on professional team

Height: 1,82 m
79 kg
Driving style: aggressive, very fast but clean
Driving position: very low over the wheel, rather hecklastig behind the wheel
Fork set up preferences: like with enough progression and less sag, for as little pressure level
Markus goes mainly ... on enduro race tracks and race tracks-like trails, often alpine tours
Ranking and rating:

1 Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
2 BOS Deville
3 Fox 34 Talas FIT Kashima Factory CTD
For me, the Pike is the clear winner in enduro forks. It combines a performance that is both suitable for racing, but also makes the everyday enduro riders happy. Since the configuration options for the Pike are manageable and easy to understand, is probably everyone quickly bring an appropriate setup about. Thanks to the Luftkammerspacer the spring characteristic can be adapted to any simplistic style of driving / driver weight. The low weight and the excellent price-performance rounded off the victory of the Pike for me.

Although the BOS unquestionably has the satteste damping and late coming to their limits, they would not be the first choice for me. The fork is designed from start to finish to racing or a very high driving as well as a technology level and less for everyday use. As Race fork top, but for the mass a little too expensive and too complicated.

Fox has with the 34 fork with a solid performance in the program. The fork is also the Pike easily and intuitively tune like. Not only the handling is comfortable, and the driving performance as such is pleasant - at least as long as the terrain is not too hard. Racers are likely to undoubtedly more pressure stage and a higher Endprogression want. On the cozy after-Enduro round on the not so extreme home trails the 34's but in very good hands.

Formula 35
# 12  Markus is far behind the bike and also brings his upper body in a deep, but towards the rear driving position. By relieving the fork is understandable that Mark enjoys driving his suspension forks with little compression damping.

Mario
Profile: suspension specialist & Tuner

Height: 1,80 m
Weight: 85 kg
Driving style: Fast and static
Driving position: rather front heavy and mostly erect, mostly static posture
Fork set up preferences: about 25% SAG - suitable progression assuming sufficient to much pressure level, fast rebound
Mario goes mainly ... in bike parks as well as on fast alpine single trails
Ranking and rating:

1 Manitou Mattoc Pro
2 Formula ThirtyFive
3rd Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
No question, the Manitou is my favorite of the current enduro forks. The fork followed the ground like no other and thus generated optimum traction - for me the most important feature a suspension fork. In addition, the Mattoc was comfortable and gave me a lot of security. Thanks to the many, even if not yet fully mature configuration options, the Manitou can adapt to virtually any terrain. But given the low price and low weight, the Mattoc is twice as good.

Not quite as good as the Mattoc, but very close, I felt the Formula ThirtyFive. The Formula was especially good at it, to follow the ground quickly and quietly - thanks to this is the good rebound. Although only the low-speed compression can be set in the Formula, the fork shows even at hard pace no weaknesses, and stands high in the suspension travel - that conveys security and invites you to give a neat gas. A true enduro fork up.

The Pike achieved in all respects a good average and therefore lined up for me on a three position. Although I felt the power of the Pike rebound not as successful as in Mattoc and ThirtyFive, but the Pike quite at a high level, which will provide particular Otto normal enduro bikers completely satisfied. The same is true for the compression stage of the Rock Shox. All in all, however, also mediates the Pike much security, mainly because of the fact that it is so high in the suspension travel. Thanks to the low street price and low weight can you go wrong with the Pike anything.
Fox
# 13  An upright and supported forward riding position, as seen at Mario tester is particularly challenging for suspension forks with weak damping.

Maxi
Profile: MTB News.de-Redakteuer & test rider

Height: 1,81 m
76 kg
Driving style: very aggressive and rustic
Driving position: deep and centered over the bike
Fork set up preferences: like with a little more SAG (25-30%), but progressively and with a lot of compression damping, rebound as quickly as possible
Maxi goes mainly ... very quick and rough trails in the Alps and in the bike park.
Ranking and rating:

1 BOS Deville
2 Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
2 Manitou Mattoc PRO
3 Formula ThirtyFive
After numerous runs on a variety of routes my favorite reigns there - the BOS Deville could convince me down to the total failure of the first test fork across the board. It is made for what is hidden for me behind the term enduro: single trail surfing with a focus on top speed as well as the idea of "one bike for everything", this includes everyday after work rounds as well as bike park visits for me. The BOS was able to master all of these requirements with flying colors and never made me feel as if I limit the fork in my gait. Thanks to its tight but finely adjusted pressure level and excellent rebound, which allows the front wheel to follow the ground ideal, the Deville for speed-oriented Enduristi is optimal and thus my first choice.

With a double-occupied second place, for me, two models at eye level. Both RockShox 'Pike as well Manitous Mattoc knew how to inspire each had but little weaknesses. At the Mattoc it was mainly the excellent traction that was generated thanks to the sophisticated rebound that could inspire me - a great way to meet unerringly the right line even at high speeds and in rough terrain. Unfortunately, I was the Mattoc something too deep in the travel, which has a negative impact on my "sense of security". The Pike, however, was not quite as good to follow the underground, but it was high in the travel and was only so much suspension travel free as absolutely necessary - I give the much security and a good and comfortable feeling, especially in hard pace.

A long time I had to consider who has earned 3rd place in my rating: the choice between Fox and Formula made me initially undecided. However, in light of the requirement profile, we designed this test, based on my choice falls ultimately on the Formula. While offering the 34 a very good performance on less hard forest trails, as they are often to be found in German low mountain ranges, but we requested in our test by true-enduro forks what my interpretation after is always associated with high speeds and challenging trails. As the performance got better and better with increasingly harder routes and increasing speed, she has earned 3rd place in my personal rating. Although it is not quite as comfortable as Fox's 34, but provides significantly more security - and that in any Fahrsitutation.

BOS
# 14  ass behind the saddle, the saddle navel and chest just behind the handlebars: a deep and sporty stretched riding position distributes the load of the body weight evenly on both spring elements.

Sebi
Profile: Hobby-Biker & Freeride-Ass

Height:  1.85 m
Weight:  80 kg
Driving style: k ontrolliert flowig and a lot of airtime intent (rather quickly to skip a lot of roots and rocks)
Driving Position: central and upright on the bike
Fork set up preferences: likes taut suspensions with a progressive characteristic, places great emphasis on low-speed compression
Sebi moves mainly: ... on artificial jump-and riparian-heavy trails, like in the Bike Park
Ranking and rating:

1 Rock Shox Pike RCT3 Solo Air
2 Formula ThirtyFive
3 Fox 34 Talas FIT Kashima Factory CTD
Although I dispute now and enduro race, I see myself on the MTB not as a racer. As enduro bikers I would but already described. I love riding in the local forests, where short, but sometimes crisp, often by leaps and heavy trails awaiting me. At the weekend it draws me then but mostly but bike park or on alpine trails. For all these inserts do I access one and the same bike back - for me the definition of Enduro. For this wide variety of uses, the Pike is my first choice. The fork support my active and playful riding style, gives me the best feedback from the ground and is still very comfortable. For large jumps it does not sag off and landings they will not bleed through. Then there is the cheap street price - as I said, first choice.

The ThirtyFive like it for similar reasons as already described in the Pike, but it is not nearly as comfortable as the Rock Shox and must be driven with vigor. If there going gets tough, the formula is satisfied by the wayside. When we look to to their low weight, it quickly becomes clear that the ThirtyFive is a successful race fork. Not quite as race-oriented and not nearly as well suited for the rough, the Fox 34 is this they speak sensitively and handles very comfortable with not so aggressive riding. My Home Trails is a good choice for me and therefore third place.

Xfusion Sweep
# 15  Sebi is in the middle but upright on the bike, which, although the body weight evenly distributed on both spring elements, with strong shocks but often results in that the rear must do more work than the fork.

Stefanus
Profile: Student & MTB News.de editor

Height:  1.77 m
Weight:  66 kg
Driving style: playful and clean
Driving position: upright and centered over the bike
Fork set up preferences: h ärter and faster than the rear
Stephen goes mainly ... in  curves through the woods, happy to be dressed with small jumps and loose soil.
Ranking and rating:

1 Rock Shox Pike RCT 3 Solo Air
2 BOS Deville
3 Manitou Mattoc Pro
3 Formula ThirtyFive
In a rather tough competition I could still opt for a winner: The Rock Shox Pike. It offers a great performance, a more reasonable price, no real weaknesses and a simple structure. For this, the service videos from Rock Shox, intuitive operation ... winner. Immediately thereafter follows for me the BOS Deville - the second fork in the test was even a tick better in terms of pure performance - that would be me, the extra cost, the less easy service, the higher weight and the complicated operation but not worth it.

In 3rd place, I see two very different forks at eye level: The Manitou Mattoc scores with good price-performance, good performance, for it has slight weaknesses in pressure stage and axis. The Formula ThirtyFive costs almost double and also has some shortcomings in terms of usability, but works really well if you have made extensive customizations.

Stefanus fork test 1
# 16 Stefanus' driving position similar to that of Sebi, he stands upright and centered over the bike This posture is probably most similar to the cross section of the large mass under the experienced enduro hobby-bikers.

Nao so uma porque vende a baixo do pvp

Quando a concorrência funciona o preço é feito pelo mercado e foi o que aconteceu com a Pike. Felizmente!
